New 3D Prints for Baja

The Baja season is picking up which means more and more circuits are being created and finalized. With these finalizations, circuit housing becomes the next priority. Above shows 2 separate housings with their lids on and off. The taller housing is for a teammates circuit he designed while the more open housing is for a circuit I designed.

The one I designed looks a little weird in multiple different ways but these were all purposeful. The white marks are present from sanding it down to make it fit well. The open lid is because there will be an LCD hat Arduino inside with buttons. The little hole in the corner is for the HC-12 transmitter/receiver antenna. This is a 2 part circuit and the other housing looks identical (just with a much less open lid). Both circuits have a pressure sensor with a silicone tube attached and these detect sudden changes in pressure.

The circuit’s purpose is to test the speed of the car. This will happen by placing the 2 circuits at a specified distance and then have the car run over the other pressure sensor circuit to start the timer which displays on the LCD screen circuit. When the circuit with the LCD screen’s pressure sensor is ran over, the timer stops and keeps the final time displayed on the screen.
