The Mission
The purpose of the AEV project is to create an energy efficient and autonomous vehicle to transport people and cargo along a monorail inside a national park. The vehicle must conserve as much energy as possible since the power at the park is limited and stranding the tourists or cargo is not an option. Along the monorail path, the AEV will pick up a small cart carrying passengers and transport it to the desired location, and back, while making occasional stops while traveling in both directions.
